The Orthera brand was created on the premise to make medical-grade orthotic inserts available to everyone at a fraction of the cost of custom medical orthotics.

After making prescription custom orthotics for everyday people and professional athletes for 10 years, we decided to produce OTC biomechanically engineered orthotic inserts in 2008.

Taking inspiration from the needs of professional athletes, Olympians and members of the U.S. military, Orthera orthotic inserts are optimized to perform for a wide array of lifestyles and needs.

Orthera orthotic inserts are designed to help prevent foot and body damage, help athletes perform at the highest level of efficiency, and help to relieve common foot, knee and back pain.

We are well aware that your feet are the foundation for your whole body and your whole life. As such, our products are intended to help you stay active and healthy for life.

We are not a medical provider and do not provide a diagnosis. If you need a diagnosis, we recommend that you visit your healthcare provider, your primary care physician, a podiatrist, physical therapist, physiatrist or chiropractor to determine if orthotic inserts might be an appropriate cure for your discomfort.

If you have worn orthotics before with a positive outcome, there is a good chance our products might help you as well. However, please bear in mind that several foot conditions might not benefit from orthotic therapy.

Rather than self-diagnosing, we recommend that you visit one of the medical specialists above to determine if orthotics are right for you.

Caring for your Orthera inserts

1. Remove excess dirt from the upper and outsole by using a small brush or towel on your orthotic insert.

2. Use a soapy mixture by mixing warm water and a small amount of laundry detergent.

3. Dip the brush or cloth into the soapy water. Wipe down the affected area. Apply a small amount of clean water.

4. Allow insoles to air dry, and there you have it!

With correct care and use, our orthotic inserts are designed to last 2+ years.

How? By obsessing over the highest quality of materials used in all of our products.

However, like all insoles and orthotics with constant wear our inserts will depreciate over time and compress; reducing the ability of the insert to help with alignment. 

For optimal performance, we recommend replacing your Orthera inserts every 6-12 months.

If you're using our Orthera inserts for performance activities with sustained impact, you may want to explore replacing them more frequently to improve your performance.

Customer Care

All our orders and your payments are handled by Stripe, which offers Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.

Additionally, we also offer to Buy Now, Pay Later provided by Lay-Buy. Select this option at checkout to see your payment options.

We use industry-standard 256-bit encryption technology. This is the same level of encryption used by large banks to keep your information secure.

Unfortunately, we ship all orders extremely quickly so once your order has been placed our warehouse team get straight to picking & packing – there is no way to cancel an order.

However, if you've received your order and it's not the correct fit or style for you – contact us to arrange a return of your unused and unworn orthotics, and we'll be pleased to help you.

All shipping time estimates are provided during checkout based upon your final shipping destination. 

We do our very best to ship all orders the same day (Monday-Friday). After 1:00 pm EST on Friday — or over the weekend — orders will ship on the next business day.

You have 90 days from the time of purchase to return an item for a full refund or credit towards another product on orthera.com as long as the product is not used and unworn.

Returns must be requested by sending an email to customercare@orthera.com or using our contact page.

If the product is returned to any other address than the one provided via email when the return was requested, we reserve the right not to refund the purchase price.

Customers will be responsible for shipping back the items to Orthera at the US address provided when the return is requested.

Please be aware that custom made products (reorders for previous customers who ordered at COSTCO) cannot be returned.

We aim to process all returns in a very timely manner. Once we've received your unused and unworn returned items, we'll handle your refund within 5-7 days.
